Wacław Marian Michalczyk OFM (Province of Our Lady of the Angels) - was born on April 22, 1945. After finishing elementary school in Grabow, he continued his high school education at the Franciscan Minor Seminary in Wieliczka. He entered the Order in 1961 in Przemyśl. He completed his seminary studies at the Theological Institute of the Missionary Fathers in Cracow. He was ordained a priest on June 14, 1970. After working for a year in the monastery and parish in Yaroslavl, the religious authorities sent him to specialized studies in theology of spirituality in Rome, which he completed with a doctorate. After returning to Cracow, he held various positions and offices in his religious province as rector of the Higher Seminary, educator of seminarians, member of the provincial government and provincial. From 2002-2011 he was in Pilica the superior of the monastery, pastor, custodian of the sanctuary and educator of candidates for the order. Since 2011 he has been living in Krakow-Bronowice Wielkie where he works in the local parish, lectures to seminarians and performs other ministries. He is the author of various publications and translations from French and Italian.
