Aleksander Horowski OFMCap (Province of St. Joseph, Krakow) - is a Capuchin friar minor. He specialized in fundamental theology in Krakow and Rome, obtaining a doctorate in theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in 2004. Since then he has worked in the Historical Institute of the Capuchins in Rome, of which he was also president (2008-2014). Since 2013 he has been editor of Collectanea Franciscana (ISSN 0010-0749). To his field of research belongs the theology of the Franciscan school of Paris in the 13th century, medieval Franciscan preaching, Franciscan hagiography and legislation concerning the Poor Clares. Together with Felice Accrocca, he edited the critical synoptic edition of the Memoriale of Thomas of Celano (Rome 2011). He is the author of the Repertorium sermonum latinorum medii aevi ad laudem sancti Francisci Assisiensis (Rome 2013). He is involved in the edition of various medieval texts by Franciscan authors. He has published several texts by Saint Bonaventure of Bagnoregio and several sermons in honor of Saint Francis by various authors. He has translated into Polish some works of St. Bonaventure and the Vita brevior of St. Francis written by Thomas of Celano.
