Wiesław Block OFMCap (Province of St. Adalbert and St. Stanislaus, Warsaw) - born 1968, religious profession 1988, priest 1996. Studied at the Institute of Spirituality of the Pontifical Antonianum University in Rome, and then at the Institute of Spirituality Theology of the Catholic University of Lublin, culminating in the defense of his doctoral thesis entitled: „Figury biblijne w Vita secunda zastosowane do św. Franciszka z Asyżu, na tle wcześniejszej literatury hagiograficznej” (Biblical figures in the Vita secunda applied to St. Francis of Assisi, against the background of earlier hagiographic literature) - Lublin 2003. From 2001 he lived and worked at the Capuchin friary in Frascati (Italy) at the Center for Permanent Formation of the Order of Capuchin Friars Minor. In 2005 he took up lecturing at the Institute of Franciscan Spirituality at the Pontifical Antonianum University. He is the author of several books and numerous articles on Franciscan spirituality.
