Fr. Stanisław Urbański (Czestochowa diocese) - born 1947, professor of theological sciences, head of the Department of Hagiography and the Department of European Spirituality at UKSW, director of the Institute of Scientific Research at Bogdan Janski University and deputy chairman of the Committee on Theological Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He specializes in Eastern spirituality, hagiography, Christian mysticism, holiness, theology of spirituality, spiritual life. On February 17, 2016, President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda marked him with the Knight's Cross of the Order of Rebirth of Poland in recognition of outstanding merits in scientific and research work, teaching and social work.
