Michał Baranowski OFMConv (Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe) - born. February 4, 1964 in lębork. He entered the Order in 1982, made his first profession in 1983, and was ordained to the presbyterate in 1989. In 1989-1993, he did his undergraduate studies at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. From 1993 to 1996, he pursued doctoral studies in biblical theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. After returning to Poland, he took a job as a lecturer of the Old Testament and biblical theology at the Franciscan Fathers' Major Seminary in Lodz-Lagiewniki (until now). He has cooperated with several other universities (Faculty of Theology UKSW in Warsaw Faculty of Theology UAM in Poznań, Theological Institute in Łódź, Salesian Theological Seminary in Łódź, Higher School of Hebrew Philology in Toruń, Higher Theological Seminary of Christ in Poznań). He is a member of the Association of Polish Biblical Scholars. He took part in the preparation of the Polish ecumenical translation (translation of Isaiah) and in the preparation of the New Bible Commentary (Book of Deuteronomy: introduction, translation from the original and commentary). Promoter of 30 master's theses, author of more than a dozen scientific articles, several books and dozens of popular science articles in the field of biblical studies.
